THIS PRACTICAL WORKSHOP FOCUES ON THE ELEVEN LINES AND FOREHEAD

What are the eleven lines?

Technically the 'glabellar lines' these dynamic wrinkles in the superficial tissues look like two parallel, vertical lines between the eyebrows and superior to the nose - hence their popular name the 'eleven lines'.

These are also known as 'frown lines'.

Commonly understood to be caused by years of micro muscle movement in this workshop Fiona will introduce to more advanced anatomical understandings of why the eleven lines develop.

Forehead Creases and Furrows

Creases, furrows and lines in the forehead can range from being deep to very superficial and light. They most commonly appear as horizontal. These are dynamic animations of the superficial tissues.

In this practical workshop you will learn efficient massage techniques targeting both the eleven lines and the forehead.

Meet Fiona Harlowe

INTEGRATION - EASE – MOVEMENT - LIFT - ACCEPTANCE

Fiona is an experienced facialist, advanced clinical massage therapist, qualified aromatherapist, anthropologist, natural perfumer and passionate student of anatomy.

She seamlessly integrates a bodyworkers perspective into effective anatomy focused facials. Feeling that both a good grounding in anatomy science and also a dynamic fire of enthusiasm for contemporary anatomy is still generally lacking when it comes to facial training Fiona has developed anatomy workshops specifically for facialists. Not not only can her Artisan Fascia Anatomy approach enhance any existing way of working with the face but it will also re/ignite a real passion for a life-long learning about the human body. After all anatomy science is the bedrock to good facial practice.

As a facialist Fiona has spent the past two decades specialising in treating maturing faces and complex skin. Whilst understanding the importance of an intuitive, fully integrated and deeply holistic approach to both skincare and bodywork Fiona focuses her own practice on the TMJ and myofascial pathways.

In the past Fiona has been honoured to be commissioned to design facials for skincare companies and spas as well as teach her radical approaches across Europe and also in the US. Her work has been featured in the UK National Press with glowing review.

Learning about bio-tensegrity and the myofascial system was a game changer for Fiona. Understanding the body within the context of the myofascial system not only transformed Fiona’s practice but revolutionised the way she sees and moves her own body. Now she wants to share these gateways to expansion with you.

After studying numerous manual therapy modalities Fiona had a light-bulb moment after spending privileged time in the dissection laboratory at Kings College London. It was here that she fully comprehended the true, awe inspiring connectedness of the human body for the first time and saw the whole-body pathways of the myofascial system for herself.

Not only did Fiona’s time in the dissection laboratory revolutionise her practice, most importantly, it transformed her touch. She has adapted and applied fascial techniques to her own facial practice to create maximum therapeutic effect. This work is so much more than the dramatic visual, surface results clients see after a treatment with Fiona - it is the way in which they feel which is so utterly transformative. Myofascial work is a powerful practice. It is as much an internal reset as it is an external one. Outcomes evolve over time.

Good understandings of anatomy are the fundamental bedrock to good practice. Fiona hopes to inspire others with her sheer delight and joy for anatomy and the journeys of self-discovery diving deep into human anatomy can take us on. She hopes to enthuse others on their own personal journeys of discovery and offer a safe, capacious space in which to continue to explore ideas and develop skills together.

Together let's create the freedom we want to feel!
