Post-treatment recommendations

Have you been wanting to learn fascia massage techniques? Have you read and researched all about the fascia massage techniques and just want someone to demonstrate them to you in a practical way? Do you want to learn specific fascia massage techniques? Do you want to know how to really effect the collagen, elastin and hydration of the tissue? Fiona has created this workshop for you!

Do you want to know which massage techniques are best for lifting the face?

Are you looking for more long-term and sustained outcomes?

Do you want to really understand how to work with the tissue, as opposed to just concentrating on the surface of the skin which will have very limited effect?

Have you always wanted to learn fascia/myofascial massage techniques?

Are you looking for an affordable and accessible workshop to show you the basics of the myofascial massage techniques?

Does the world of fascia massage feel like a secret club you can never quite find the entry word for?

It doesn't have to feel like that any more! Everything about your practice changes NOW!

Sound too good to be true? It isn't!

Now you too can be IN!

This is practical and clear introduction to some of Fiona's favourite fascia techniques.

"These are the techniques I had to search high and low to learn. I have also invested considerable time and money on the courses that I could find! I am so excited to share all that I have learnt, and developed myself, with you.

In my experience there remains very limited information on how to apply a fascial/myofascial/connective tissue approach to the face. This doesn't mean there aren't some incredible teachers out there - there absolutely are! There are dedicated educators who have been working tirelessly, for decades, to develop and share fascial techniques and approaches and I've had the very great privilege of learning from some of them. Let me be very clear, I stand on their shoulders, the shoulders of those who I've been, and have not, been taught by. The innovators, pioneers and instructors. But a fascial approach still remains side-lined by the mainstream skin care industry and access to training varies country-to-country - I know I had to fly to different countries to reach all of the classes I have attended and as we know flying is not easy right now. Plus the courses are often, rightly, a financial investment. Most are solely for bodyworkers, so unless you are a bodyworker, as I now am, you will only have extremely limited access to these groundbreaking techniques principles and methodologies...But I am all too aware that not all those who treat the face are bodyworkers, so the options for getting fluent in this work reduce again.

Essentially, to the primary careers of the face - facialists and beauty therapists - these critical, insightful and trailblazing techniques remain elusive. I have felt this frustration myself and want to change it!

So I have developed my own methodology as a practising facialist and I have intentionally set it in the context of the body - so the face is not treated as somehow an isolated body part, unattached to the complex and wondrous whole person. I am incredibly excited, and deeply honoured, to share this methodology with you. This workshop is part of a Level One programme of workshops which I created with the specific intention to share my techniques and approach with you in manageable, bite-sized chunks. All workshops are designed to work together and I recommend that you take them all to get a full picture. However, they are all designed to be taken separately so that you can also dip in and dip out as fits best for you." FH

Good fascial techniques create ease, integration and movement in the tissue. This is the introductory and practical workshop to show you how.

Meet Fiona Harlowe

INTEGRATION - EASE – MOVEMENT - LIFT - ACCEPTANCE

Fiona is an experienced facialist, advanced clinical massage therapist, qualified aromatherapist, anthropologist, natural perfumer and passionate student of anatomy.

She seamlessly integrates a bodyworkers perspective into effective anatomy focused facials. Feeling that both a good grounding in anatomy science and also a dynamic fire of enthusiasm for contemporary anatomy is still generally lacking when it comes to facial training Fiona has developed anatomy workshops specifically for facialists. Not not only can her Artisan Fascia Anatomy approach enhance any existing way of working with the face but it will also re/ignite a real passion for a life-long learning about the human body. After all anatomy science is the bedrock to good facial practice.

As a facialist Fiona has spent the past two decades specialising in treating maturing faces and complex skin. Whilst understanding the importance of an intuitive, fully integrated and deeply holistic approach to both skincare and bodywork Fiona focuses her own practice on the TMJ and myofascial pathways.

In the past Fiona has been honoured to be commissioned to design facials for skincare companies and spas as well as teach her radical approaches across Europe and also in the US. Her work has been featured in the UK National Press with glowing review.

Learning about bio-tensegrity and the myofascial system was a game changer for Fiona. Understanding the body within the context of the myofascial system not only transformed Fiona’s practice but revolutionised the way she sees and moves her own body. Now she wants to share these gateways to expansion with you.

After studying numerous manual therapy modalities Fiona had a light-bulb moment after spending privileged time in the dissection laboratory at Kings College London. It was here that she fully comprehended the true, awe inspiring connectedness of the human body for the first time and saw the whole-body pathways of the myofascial system for herself.

Not only did Fiona’s time in the dissection laboratory revolutionise her practice, most importantly, it transformed her touch. She has adapted and applied fascial techniques to her own facial practice to create maximum therapeutic effect. This work is so much more than the dramatic visual, surface results clients see after a treatment with Fiona - it is the way in which they feel which is so utterly transformative. Myofascial work is a powerful practice. It is as much an internal reset as it is an external one. Outcomes evolve over time.

Good understandings of anatomy are the fundamental bedrock to good practice. Fiona hopes to inspire others with her sheer delight and joy for anatomy and the journeys of self-discovery diving deep into human anatomy can take us on. She hopes to enthuse others on their own personal journeys of discovery and offer a safe, capacious space in which to continue to explore ideas and develop skills together.

Together let's create the freedom we want to feel!
